To choose the torchbearers for the Rio 2016 Olympic Torch Relay, we asked Brazilians themselves to nominate those who deserved to carry the torch.

There were more than 15,000 stories of people who inspire and transform lives in their communities. Many of them were told by us in a series of videos.
We also created a special web series that traveled across the country, following the Olympic flame's journey until it reached Rio de Janeiro. On the campaign website, you could follow the Torch in real time and discover the stories of those torchbearers.
